| 545 | |a Paul Locatelli, S.J. became the 27th President of Santa Clara on August 1, 1988, succeeding William J. Rewak, S.J. Father Locatelli graduated from Santa Clara in 1960 with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1965. He received his Doctorate of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1971, and a Master of Divinity from the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley in 1974. Father Locatelli entered the Jesuit Order in 1962, and was ordained in 1974. Prior to his election to the presidency, Father Locatelli served as Academic Vice President from 1978-1986. In addition he served as Associate Dean of Business from 1976-78 and as a member of the Accounting faculty beginning in 1974. In 1994 he was named the Distinguished Professor of the Year by the California Society of CPAs. | ||
