At a meeting of a number of the freemen and freeholders of the city and county of New-York, at the house of Mrs. Vandewater's on Wednesday evening last, for the purpose of nominating persons to represent them in the next General Assembly it was agreed by a majority to said company that Philip Livingston, John Alsop, John Jay, and Alexander M'Dougall, be, and are recommended to the public as sufficient men for that purpose.
